RE.M.I. Initiatives Plenary Session
Regulation Meets Innovation

March 17th, 8:30AM to 1:30PM

About the event

RE.M.I. (Regulation Meets Innovation) is a Luxembourg-based community initiative that brings together regulators, innovators, researchers and support organisations to make responsible AI adoption practical. The ambition is straightforward: reduce uncertainty, share approaches that work in the field, and help organisations move from “what does compliance require?” to “how do we implement it” across the AI lifecycle.

This Plenary Session on 17 March in Esch-Belval is open to all profiles. It is designed as a common entry point to the initiative and a space where people who build AI and people who ensure it is deployed responsibly can align on real-world challenges.

What  you can expect

  • A clear introduction to RE.M.I.: objectives, priorities and how to engage
  • Ecosystem perspectives on responsible AI adoption in Luxembourg
  • Practical discussion connecting regulatory expectations with implementation realities
  • Networking across innovation, governance and support communities
The session connects regulatory expectations with operational realities such as data governance, risk management, procurement, monitoring, and security. It also helps participants identify practical next steps and opportunities for collaboration across the Luxembourg ecosystem.

The plenary is held in close collaboration with the CNPD, as a key anchor for trust and good governance, and the Luxembourg AI Factory, which contributes the innovation ecosystem and pathways to experimentation and scale.

Alongside the plenary, dedicated working groups provide a deeper, specialised track for participants who want to engage hands-on with regulation and compliance topics, including operational governance and controls, risk mitigation, assurance approaches, and the interface between AI and cybersecurity. If you are new to the topic, the plenary is the right place to start. If you already work on compliance or AI governance, the working groups are an opportunity to contribute to more technical discussions.
